Tierra Linda Middle School is a welcoming and supportive community where students are encouraged to discover their strengths, explore new opportunities, and grow as learners and individuals. We believe middle school is an important time for students to build confidence, develop independence, and form meaningful connections.
 
Our dedicated educators partner with families to create a positive learning environment that challenges students academically while supporting their social and emotional growth. At Tierra Linda, we inspire students to collaborate, think creatively, embrace new challenges, and become responsible, engaged members of their school community.

Free Summer Meals Image

Summer Meals and Food Assistance

San Carlos School District wants to ensure that all students have access to nutritious meals and other food assistance during the summer months when school is not in session. We encourage families to consider the following resources available in San Mateo County.


Seamless Summer Option and Summer Food Service Program are two programs that provide meals without charge to all children ages 18 and under, regardless of income level, prior qualification, or district of residence. The following organizations are offering free breakfast and lunch this summer. Visit our School Lunch page for more information.

Each month, our Spotlight on Excellence highlights a unique aspect of what makes San Carlos schools exceptional.

Tierra Linda Middle School Principal Charu Gulati, and Assistant Principal Ada Lee, present an update on teaching, learning, and special programs & were joined by students who provided a 'day in the life' glimpse into what it means to be a TL Timberwolf, and shared experiences of participating in the first annual Entrepreneurial Fair.
