Charu Gulati, Principal (she/her)

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! I'm thrilled to welcome you to Tierra Linda Middle School for another exciting year of growth and learning. As I enter my second year as principal, following two years as assistant principal, I'm more passionate than ever about our mission to empower and inspire our students to thrive and succeed in an ever changing world.

With over 20 years of experience in education, including extensive work as a middle school science educator and esteemed National Geographic teacher fellow, various teacher leadership roles, I bring a wealth of knowledge and dedication to our school community. My diverse background, encompassing both domestic and international teaching experiences, has instilled in me a deep appreciation for social, cultural, and geographic diversity – values that are at the heart of our inclusive learning environment at Tierra Linda.

I'm excited to continue working collaboratively with our exceptional staff, dedicated parents, and the broader San Carlos community to provide an innovative and engaging learning experience for every student.

I maintain an open-door policy and encourage you to stop by my office anytime to say hello or introduce yourself. If you have any concerns or would like to discuss anything , please feel free to email me or call the office to set up a meeting.

Ada Lee, Assistant Principal (she/her)

Ms. Lee has 20 years experience as an educator and in SCSD she has had the role as the Curriculum & Instruction Teacher on Special Assignment, the Principal of Summer School program and as Assistant Principal at Tierra Linda. In addition to her teaching and administrative credentials, Ms. Lee holds a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy. She is excited to bring her experience to the TL community!
