PTA

On behalf of the Tierra Linda Mariposa PTA (TLM PTA), we welcome back our returning families as well as our new families to the TL/Mariposa community! We are excited to work alongside a very talented group of teachers, students, staff, administrators, and parents.

We have an active volunteer group, Parent Teachers Association, PTA. We are going for 100% membership this year and invite everyone to join here. We want to thank our PTA volunteers for supporting us in starting school by filling in the Gaga pit with tan bark and proving lunch and snack at our Sixth Grade WEB Orientation. PTA has monthly meetings and event throughout the school year. More information coming soon and at Back-to-School Night. We are grateful that PTA and SCEF have joined their fundraising efforts to make it more equitable for all schools and to streamline the process for donors.

We are working hard to continue to focus our efforts on programs and activities that will make a positive difference for the kids in our school and enhance their educational experience. Our donation model has changed and has combined with SCEF to fund: classroom materials and supplies, community building events, art and special programs, and advocacy efforts across our district and throughout the state.

PTA Membership & Meetings

We have one PTA that serves both TL and Mariposa. Come join the team!

PTA meetings are typically held via Zoom the third Tuesday of the month. Please check the Tierra Linda Newsletter or meeting agendas for official meeting schedule and this year's zoom link.

By joining the TLM PTA, you are taking part in the largest volunteer child advocacy program in the nation that promotes family involvement.
More than 3 decades of research shows that the single most effective element in student success is the involvement of family members in a student’s education. Joining the TLM PTA will give you that opportunity.
You will be connected to a network of parents and teachers who support our school.
You will have a voice (voting rights) in TLM PTA meetings and representation at the California and national levels. The TLM PTA meets monthly, alternating between mornings and evenings so you can attend when it suits your schedule.
You will have access to parenting and advocacy information and resources.

The biggest payoff is the satisfaction of doing the right thing – working together to advocate for children, promoting parent and family involvement in schools and improving the lives of all children and families. Your participation makes a difference!
