Emergency Alerts
If we have an emergency at school, we will use the school messenger service to communicate via email, text, or voice message. If you would like additional information, sign up for the San Mateo County Emergency Alert notifications. Last Friday we responded to a policy activity by having our students Secure Campus. Students were in their classrooms with the doors locked. This response was due to a possible emergency in the community/neighborhood. This was not a situation on any of the school campuses. Be sure that your information is accurate and updated in our school system. When you fill out InfoSnap for the following year, update your contact information or let Cori Carpenter know in the school office.
2022-23 School Year Calendar Approved
The REVISED 2022-2023 Calendar has been approved by the Board. Changes in the calendar from the previously approved draft are the school start and end date, to August 24, 2022, and June 15, 2023, respectively. Download a paper copy on our SCSD Calendar page and/or subscribe.

TLM Book Fair is Coming May 3rd-6th!
We are so excited to support our incredible library while giving Mariposa and Tierra Linda students the opportunity to find their latest favorite read! Buy a Sunflower at Dismissal, 3:00 p.m. to Support Ukrainian Kids
On Thursday, April 28, Tierra Linda ASB/Leadership will be selling sunflowers to support the children of Ukraine. The sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine and a symbol of peace. The flowers will be sold for $5 each (cash only). If you are unable to come, feel free to send your child with $5. All funds will be donated to Save the Children Ukraine. Thank you for your support.

Want your student's art featured at the San Mateo County Office of Education? Submit their photos or artwork on "Student Voice" for a chance to be displayed in a permanent collection at the County Office of Education! Art can be submitted directly by students or by their teachers. Learn more.
Vaping: What Does it Cost? PSA Contest (6-8th Grade Students)
All middle and high school students are invited to submit a video, poster, or audio about the costs of vaping for a chance to win up to a $100 gift card. Submissions should be aimed towards spreading awareness about the dangers of nicotine and vaping and how one can quit their addiction. Winners will be announced at a virtual hip-hop concert on May 19th, 5:30-6:30pm. Entries due April 22, 2022. Learn more.

Registration is now open for the Anti-Defamation League’s No Place for Hate Initiative, which provides a proactive and student-centered framework to fight hate and build inclusive and safe communities in which respect and equity are the goals, and where all students can thrive. Learn more.

- If you have any of the symptoms listed above, call your school office to report an illness, stay home, and take a COVID test.
- If you need to report a positive COVID case, please call your school office or if it is after business hours, contact J. Smith at 650-590-5922.
