To Everyone in our Tierra Linda Instrumental Music Community,

Welcome back from a well-deserved break! We hope everyone is recharged and refreshed for the final few weeks of this calendar year.

At Back-to-School Night, we discussed the possibility of our concert logistics changing. The first significant change will happen next week for our Winter Concert Series. After much brainstorming and consideration, we will not be hosting live events for Orchestra & Band this month. Instead, we will be committing our Block Days on Wednesday & Thursday (December 8th & 9th) to producing high-quality, professional-level recordings of the repertoire we've been working on in our 7th and 8th Grade ensembles. Due to the proximity to Outdoor Ed, our 6th Grade ensembles will be tackling their recordings on a date that is still to be determined.

What this means for STUDENTS:
Please be prepared to wear your appropriate Orchestra (black & white) or Band (all black) concert attire. Ms. Tetreault and Mr. Kneebone will be discussing this again in class, and you can always refer to your course syllabus for more details.

What this means for PARENTS:
Thank you for your flexibility and understanding. Please trust that these decisions do not get made in a vacuum - much time and thought went into covering all bases and taking all variables into account. You CAN, however, look forward to an awesome video performance of your student musicians that can be shared with friends and family in time for the holidays.

Thank You!
-Your Music Directors & TL Administrators

Ways to ways to donate before year-end

- Workplace Giving
Many employers will match your donation to SCEF and some are offering end-of-year matching at 2:1.

Start now and spread your contributions across the school year.

Every little bit helps SCEF meet our fundraising goal of $3.2M to meet our mission of supporting every child, every day, in every classroom.
