The Tierra Linda Student Council is a group of TL students and teachers who want to make a difference in our school community. They plan fundraisers, assemblies, school dances; they run the Student Store, fun days like “Pajama Day,” and much more. They meet every Wednesday morning at 7:15 a.m. They represent our school, so it’s important that they have people who are serious and responsible about their jobs.
The Student Council appoints a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, dance committee leader, spirit committee leader, and Student Store leader through elections in the spring for the next year. Also, every advisory has a Student Rep. They come to every other meeting and listen to what events are going on; then they report back to their Advisory classes to keep them updated.
Most important, being in Student Council is FUN! You get to plan all of the great events at TL and make a difference in the students’ school days. Seeing people smile after an event that you coordinated makes you feel great inside.
